How We Started


For the first two decades of her career, Florence Gerber specialized in business operations, data analysis, and process optimization. She worked with Fortune 500 companies as well as organizations in the healthcare, government, and education sectors. Recognized for her collaborative leadership style, she excelled in managing large-scale projects, influencing cross-functional teams, and driving operational efficiency. Leaders valued her passion for designing and delivering transformative solutions that create meaningful impact for stakeholders and customers. In response to growing requests from leaders in the Portland, Oregon, metro area, Florence founded Mariano and Associates, LLC in 2018 to work directly with clients.


Today, Mariano and Associates, LLC is honored to continue to partner and serve a variety of organizations serving their communities. We are grateful that our clients are primarily referral-based, as an indicator of the positive experiences and contributions we provide.
